I did an key word search on baking, cooking, and desserts. I saw low , medium and high competition. What does this all mean, and how does it impact a web site? Should we have key words in low, med or, high competition?

Hey Erica,

Thanks for the comment. Before buying a domain do your keyword research and find out what the popular keyword searches are in the cooking and baking niche. Also look at some of the popular cooking products / books on amazon to get more ideas. If you can get a domain that contains your keywords - great! If not, get something that's relevant, and memorable.

Have a great day.

I don't have a blog yet or a web site. I'm not even sure of how to start. I want to have a site based on cooking and baking ,and hopefully make money with google ads and affiliate sites. I'm haveing a hard time deciding what domain name to have.I have recipes but I would like to add other peoples recipes too and advertise their cook books. I liked your suggestions, but I'm still not sure how to go about getting the right name.
